New toy day

Too heavy and used a lot of fuel for what we need now as dont need TM on the clamp. Plus needed 4 tyres at minimum of £1500/corner and engine stuff so the deal was good enough to swop without tears
Good machine though with very few issues that weren't our fault.
Wonder if the sidearm will be anywhere near as robust.
interesting, i was told the articulated ones are far heavier built and much more reliable, was just curious as on the lookout for a 2nd hand forklift and want something durable

It should be .But putting on its nose .Your bucket must be to big or your well over loading it .Have the same with a 1.7 cu and never hardly fails to lift or set off warnings

The thing he puts the pipes on over the drawbar always gets bent and wrecked its badly positionedwev had plenty of both over the years, the brakes arent the same quality as kane(done plenty of herron brakes and never had to reline a kane) had a herron lowloader that didnt run straight behind the tractor from day 1. Had a silage that ate tyres as the axles was way off and he tried to say that it must of been couped which it wasnt as the trailer was immaculate. Never had a problem with kane which also has a better resale value aswel
There's no excuse for the lowloader or silage trailer, if they were built wrong they should be put right.
I'd say trailer brakes wearing is a good thing. If they don't their not doing there job. From experience Kane fit smaller brakes and half the number of brake rams unless you spec them up. I'd rather replace trailer brakes than tractor brakes.

The brakes work perfectly well on a kane, the shoes are just better qualityand its not since the center chassis design that only has 2 brake rams

If you say so, I've always found them inadequate. I'm sure they're still fitting 2 brake rams on some of their tandem axle trailers, unless they've changed recently, they're small rams too.

Its only half pipes wev bought for a good while now so i cant comment on smaller silage trailers

Would any1 be so kind as to run a tape across a 320 and tell me what width it is and would there be any way to make them narrower with setting wheels in
I'll measure our 310 later . The wheels have a different offset to the rigid so they're set wider. We were gonna swap ours between machines at one point till I measured the rims but I can't remember how much difference there is

Used the new machine to heap a bit of FYM yesterday... and its a bit powderpuff compared to the TM with a penchant for standing on its nose & the visibility to the right is mainly obscured by the boom but ideal for what we want which is basically loading mixer wagon and unloading deliveries and subsequently much cheaper to run

I've not felt genuine instability in a side boom machine in years and I've spent good hours in the seat of various makes and models. Are you running a bucket outside the recommended size or something?

The engine is also going to be tight until it's run in nicely.

You'll never sit in a Kramer and complain the engine, hydraulics or transmission are not potent enough. They jump to it like a Paratrooper in a parade.

A tm 310 will run rings round a 538.60 stacking muck so it should feel a lot different from a 420
