When viewed from the side under your standard axle load 3 treads on the ground is a good rule of thumb.

18/20 Psi back and front, 22 Psi front if it has a loader on..
It's not that long ago that a customer had a tyre company fit new tyres to his tractor. "Much harder ride" he said. So we let them down from 26 to around 20,,,, much better!!

Max load and Max pressure will be written on the tyres.. The tyre companies all have a data book with complex looking calculations which require accurate axle loads and a weighbridge. 18/20 Psi is ok for 99% of tractors..

Maximum pressure for seating the bead is generally what is embossed on the tyres - Maybe sometimes but not always the working pressure as well, two very different things.

Yes they usually say to leave them like that for a few days. Then let them down to what you want them at. I would say 18 psi would be okay.

We've got a manitou with new BKTs on it all round and it bounces like mad, it feels like it has solid tyres on it, got another manitou that gets anything that isn't a racing slick put on it and its always smooth. I think BKTs musnt have alot of give in the sidewalls compared to other manufacturers.
Get some heat into them
Drop pressures to about 13 pound back and 15 pound front, and go for a good half hour blast flat out on the road
Get home and blow them back up to pressure immediately(20r, 22f as suggested sounfs grand for a loader). Don't let them sit still and go cold or they'll get bigger flat spots and be even worse!
New floatation tyres on trailers are the worse for 'bounce", this wee warming them up trick works wonders

We had a small breakdown on a tractor and the dealer loaned us a trade in waiting for ours to come back. I couldn't work out why it was so harsh, putting it down to not having front weights. 46psi in the fronts

They bounce but certainly don’t wear compared to Michelin
We managed 4200 hours on Michelin before they gave up
BKT did over 6000 hours with no issues before the tractor was sold,that’s a mixture of field work and pulling silage trailer and tanker on the road.

We have bkt on a 50 k valtra and they ride fine,a bit more noise ,maybe,but certainly aren't wearing anything like the trelleborgs that they replaced. Also,they match the ratios better, when braking on the road and it goes into 4wd,it used to drop in the front suspension and then come back with a jolt when brakes are released. With the bkt there's no reaction at all, completely smooth. Could explain why the trelleborgs didn't last well I suppose.
