I need to price up a new set of rims for my JCB 4cx in order to put wider tyres on. !
Who would you recomend to make them in order that the clearances and dimensions are right ?

Thanks

Thanks guys

Plenty of choice there
S--t shoveller. Hmm good question. Pretty much given up on s/h rims and gonna (finances allowing ) look at new rims. That way I can go for the tyres that 1 are available s/h and 2 the size I want rather than a compromise .
It's a bit chicken an egg. Pretty much have to choose tyre then fit rim round them. Gut feeling ! 600's or may be 650's. This prob makes it a dearer project so might take a bit longer. But that's wot I thinking at mo. Will talk to some of these guys an see what there advice is.

Keep u posted.

Hi terry elsey tyres

Jcb4cx.
Currently on 16.9 x 28
Looking to get 600 's or 650 's ( doubt if I'd have any steering with 650 's? )
Wot ever tyre fits the existing size circumference and then getting a rim that's offset to cope with the 4 wheel steer and the five studs

They will need to know your offset inside the wheels so you keep the same clearance to the chassis or if tyres are bigger circumference distance between tyre and chassis will need to increase and vice a versa

(y) Zebbedee. My 4cx has to earn its keep tho. Off course it is going to be a future classic and will soon be going up in value so will need to look after it ......... So may be an option .............................. Not ;)
