Just thought I would mention here on this site as I went on a trip last November and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The tour is hosted by Bill Hohepa who presents a TV series on New Zealand television called Low Gear. He is now organising a trip for this November and needs to know numbers.

I think we did 35 different collections in 15 days and covered top of the North Island right down to the bottom of the South Island

For the last few years Bill has been running a 2 week tour covering both islands and taking in a variety of collections of trucks, farm machinery, construction equipment and military vehicles some in privately owned, some in museums. I don't think i have ever seen so many Allis Chalmers and Cat D2s!

He has a channel on Vimeo which contains almost all TV series made, each one being around 30 minutes and featuring mainly trucks but also including farm machinery, construction equipment and military vehicles, it also includes a slide/film show of our tour last year which will give a good insight in to what we saw

You might need to search Bill Hohepa on the start page as the sharing restrictions prevent a direct link to the tour show, which is
This is a sample of what happens on our Low Gear annual tour
