@Guy Smith .I don't know if you are at the summit but just be aware if you don't know already Irish Dairy Coops have men in this country looking for fodder and if its as bad out there as the say they will almost definenety get an aid to buy Scheme going

And I suppose the SNP (oh, excuse me, the Scottish) government will be providing some sort of transport aid to get forage up here from off the Continent? To replace what little is left in this country after it starts going to Ireland.

It rains on the just and the unjust.........I'm CLA and I'm getting rain too :D

so am i...for now....i'm getting no rain.....even if it does we've lost 2 months of growing season

summits are no good without action....i could do with a derogation to put stubble turnips into stewardship overwinter stubble....but in a month it'd be pointless

straw will be not be in the field in a months time so any decision on subsidised haulage needs to be quick

Good news! : I hear Fergus Ewing is due to announce funding for a 2018 forage scheme on Monday morning!

The bad news: applications closed yesterday, the lucky recipient will be notified in 18 months.
