Simply question.....how much is it and how is it calculated?

I cant find anything on the website so assume it is down to individual circumstances?

I dont know the precise cost but am happy to point someone in your direction to give you an indication on base payment and acreage payment.
There is also legal assistance available.

They can also give you a run down on what you get with membership, deals on tyres, vehicles, access to call first a team of people to give advice. Plus loads of other things.
Let me know if you want someone to give you a call @Jerry

I would sort the NFU out in a heartbeat.
"To activate your membership, please state your CPH number".
Not an active farmer ? No membership.
Perhaps then it would start to do what it says on the tin, rather than being, as that article points out, an agri-business lobby group.
I haven't got a CPH number and I am an active farmer. You only need one if you keep stock don't you?

Whilst you're at it you should ask who else are members, beyond farmers.
The below is well worth a read.

Why do these organisations, often run from a city centre tower block, have so much to say about controlling a Grade 3 zoonosis in Moonbat's and the wildlife trust's favourite animal?
Answer: Votes. They think there are more votes in a dead badger than a dead cow - as cows get killed anyway. And as with so many campaigns these days, those with most to say, and a platform from which to spout their ignorance, have the least to lose.

I very nearly said "ignore the passing comment about the badger cull", as I knew that someone would only get that far and give up. The author should not have put that passing comment in there, it is irrelevant to what is otherwise an important discussion piece.

I just read that and it’s a crock of shite, it alleges that supermarkets and Agchem companies are members without any proof. I don’t like the Nfu but unless someone can show me donations from companies like these I won’t believe it.

NFU pro business membership is the thin end of a very thick wedge.

Fair point, I am simply saying that the NFU should be for primary producers alone, there will be other applicable tests beyond a CPH number.

pp 104 - 107.
Though, tbf, it does reference some dodgy source 'The Farming Forum'.
Would be interesting if someone could provide a list of the 'affiliate members'.

I’ve never heard of Nfu pro membership, it’s a real thing then and the big business is definitely a member?

I would suspect that small business is the pro-membership, and big business is the affiliate membership.
Though in the interests of openness and transparency, someone who knows should comment.

I didn’t only. ‘get that far and give up’.
I read to the end and viewed a blood stained cartoon, depicting the same skewed message as contained in para 1.

The author, in your opinion, should not have put out a passing comment re badger culling. But he / she did, and nailed it at the end with the cartoon. So credibility of the rest of the piece, is seriously dented. In my opinion.
