Long story short , took out legal insurance and had issue with a builder on our boundary , spent 4.5k in the mean time telling Nfu policy must cover this , broker said no but finally after speaking to another person in the office policy did cover and and did kick in via das, the understanding then was after case came to conclusion 4.5k would be paid back , we won the day against builder and 7 months later after many emails conversations with Nfu office nothing.

will the office or broker have an indemnity for such occurrences ?

thanks

Anybody advising on Insurance must have Professional Indemnity Insurance under Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules.
You need to take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), I would be fairly confident you will get a decent outcome from them.
Commercial legal protection Insurance is a very complex and confusing area that in many cases is hardly worth the paper it is written on because there is so many loopholes in it.
If you need any advice on your complaint to the Ombudsman PM me.
