Could be the rear bottom drive roller slipping, this was very common on the early 640's.Spreader roller was jammed. Freed it off and now netting spot on. Sounds like slip clutch is going now as something is clicking when bale gets over 100cm
Any remedy?Could be the rear bottom drive roller slipping, this was very common on the early 640's.
The dog clutches can slip when they are under more pressure so that is what it could likley be. Just tighten the 24 mm bolt I think on the dog clutch. It’s a sprocket with a few plates on the end of it with a bolt in the middle there’s a few of them if I remember correctly. Don’t tighten it too much at a time about a third of a turn until it cures itAny remedy?
Can’t get it any tighter. There’s a big washer been put on so maybe it’s been a problem before. The dog clutches can slip when they are under more pressure so that is what it could likley be. There should be around 4 beville type spring plates in front of the dog teeth? Can’t get it any tighter. There’s a big washer been put on so maybe it’s been a problem before.
Straw can make it chatter if you have too muchon bale tensionThe teeth don’t look worn. Not baling wet stuff just straw. I’ll check the plates
