NH T5070 gearbox fault

Started out thinking the fwd/rev clutch pack had gone. After some research and draining the transmission oil revealing bits of bearing we have concluded there is a bearing gone in the gearbox, dealer foreman confirmed they have done several, not sure why as it is on the bottom shaft running in oil all the time.Big job as the whole back end has to be dismantled.Bit disappointing really as only 4300hrs,and this transmission has been around for about 30 years going back to Fiat days, albeit in less powerfull tractors, obviously at its limit with 115hp.Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem,up to now ive always been told these tractors are pretty bombproof.

Is that the bearing the dealers blame on steep ground and low oil levels as several have been done locally

Was in NH dealers workshop the other day, talking to a mechanic I know and he was on the second one that week with the same problem. First was a TL100A and second was a T5060. Full strip down with cab off.

I’ve replaced a bearing in a t5 last year all due to a £15 made in China bearing failed big strip down involved

Dis you fit a non-cheap bearing as replacement , Japanese are better than Chinese ones.
Yes I ordered one through local bearing supplier it wasn’t a stocked bearing and it had a snap ring on the outside can’t remember the make without looking but I’m sure it was closer to£100 than £15 yes jap bearings are in a different world compared to China bearings

Bloke near to me had a problem with the gb, strip down and rebuild twice as they made a bad job of the first.not many more hours loader fitted obviously a genetic problem
Tla 100 would be the biggest before the number change?.
