YOU would think it should be but seems solid. Haven't taken it off to look at yet because access is so good!Is no4 not an idler/tensioner?
Doesn't seem very stretchy, so just lever it on?They are a stretch belt. No adjuster.
I'm trying to fit a new belt to my air compressor but there doesn't seem to be any way to slacken the pulleys to fit the belt? Any help would be appreciated
Mine was changed last week, as @Timbo says, a stretch belt. My spanner man hadn’t done one before and was just starting when a NH mechanic walked in the shed looking for another machine! Had a kit to get it off, but wouldn’t fit, in the end prized off with bar and screwdriver, new one went on when we turned the ignition quickly. They are a stretch belt. No adjuster.
Mine snapped so that bit was easy did think about turning the key etc but my brother wasn't willing to turn it.Mine was changed last week, as @Timbo says, a stretch belt. Then most probably whip it off, fit belt and fit the idler back on. Seen something else the sameYOU would think it should be but seems solid. Haven't taken it off to look at yet because access is so good!
