NH T7.210 or JD 6155R?

Looking at buying one of the above in the 2018-2020 bracket. Deere would likely be in the 5-6000hr range and NH bit less. My question is anyone running them at higher ours with Vario boxes and getting on well? Have heard lots of mixed experiences.

Mechanically at those hours the condition of both will depend upon the care bestowed by the previous owners

Though both cabs are cramped, controls and comfort wise the Deere is a far nicer place to spend a day than any new holland, ever

neighbours 6R175 around 5000 hours did already need new compressor for air brakes und drop a valve wrong in the engine. expensive repair

Very carefully driver and serviced as in the book... I had the chance to drive it last week and found the seat very worn out for 5000 hours.

210 NH here autocommand. 7000 plus hours and love it and been a very reliable tractor other than wearing parts. Great tractor and very capable. We are looking at 240hp plus on the next addition. Sadly our NH dealership is less than satisfactory so looking at JD, Mccormick, Claas and Deutz. All close dealers nearby. Ideally stay with NH if nothing can beat the value for money and more spec for you money.

Would the mccormick not be cheaper than the nh?

CNH cvx/autocommand are reliable boxes so I wouldnt worry about buying used. I’m looking at a 6000 hrs 230 at the minute. My brother has a 12,000 hr 270 with zero issues. Not sure about the 155r but we had a 7280r that needed a new box at 500 hrs and then again at 1500 hrs. No idea if its the same gearbox but that was a 2012 build. We got rid quickly.

The Cnh as well as above would certainly have the much better engine and probably be easier on fuel

Thats the problem they have, but it is a very good product nowadays.
Snobbery?

The Marcomick of today is a far nicer cabin to spend a day within than the ergonomical new holland nightmare. They also drink far less fuel (thanks to the NH FPT engine) than the galloping goat (or anything powered by a sisu from agco's stable)

My view is that today a horse from any stable is so bloody expensive you need to really enjoy driving the thing to justify the cost

We run all new hollands here and always have done, we have 3 210’s currently a 65 plate tier 4a, and a 66 and 17 plate tier 4b, hours spanning from 6000 to 7100 hours currently, all varios, the 65 plate has had very very few issues touch wood, the 66 plate has just had a gearbox rebuild due to a failed bearing wearing away casting at 6000 hours 🤮 and the 17 plate had a solenoid in the gearbox to stop it lurching and a new turbo around 5500 hours and the cross shaft replaced at 7000, to be fair we do probably expect too much from them they are on there limit alot of the time with 6 furrow onland lemken plough, 3 metre sumo trio, shelton ct150 drainer or a 3 bed hook tine bedformer, looking back should of probably opted for the lwb but these tractors do alot of rowcrop work too, they have been terrific tractors but due to recent changes to dealer network in the area we wont be buying another, and i cant speak for deere’s reliablility but comfort and technology wise its miles ahead of the NH 👍, so much so that its probably going to be what we swap the 3 210’s for in the future
