NH TLa Lift-o-matic

Evening,

Got bit of an issue with the lift-o-matic on our TL70a.

The "half" moon dial you push in and click to hold, no longer clicks and holds!

It would appear the switch on the left hand side has maybe worn or broken internally?

Got as far as taking the first cover off this morning before work but no further.

Any ideas? Similar happened to you?

Because the half moon dial doesn't hold, it means the lift arms don't work unless you physically hold the dial in place! Not very practical.

Yes our fiats used to do that. Generally need new casing, and put new cable on when your at it as it will break next

Eventually got round to taking the cover off.looks like plastic half moon broken.
And traced the wire to the back of the tractor @ridger

Will see how long it takes to get the bits.....

You have to set the length of the cable very particularly, if it's too long you will have to put pressure on the half round thing every time you want lift to go down, if it's too short the liftomatic thing won't click in, once it's done you will have peace for years though

I have had 3 tractors with it on,never touched any of em,always worked faultlessly,brilliant simple system.

Maybe it's just me, I have on occasion driven one with it and had to be careful not to get my knuckles rapped when it flicks out! But I can be a numpty

I've one tractor with on and it's pretty reliable. Just occasionally, usually when I am mowing will fail to drop the mower into work resulting in a lot of

Got the new bit, took a bit of searching on the dealers computer!

Apparently its not a common fault.....

Looks like mod been made to me????

That lift o matic was and still is an excellent simple system on tractors with simple hydraulics.
Brilliant for ploughing always used it on the fiats I used to drive.
Nh 5060 at college has it fitted.
