Blowing water out, continuous bubbles in radiator. I'm guessing head gasket. Is it a power star engine? Anything to look out for when doing the head or is it straight forward?

Get the head checked to make sure it's straight. Depending on the age it might be worth having the valves done whilst it's out, especially if the head is not straight and it needs skimmed.

You may well need new head bolts - some can be single use as they stretch when tightened.

Yep Powerstar engine.

I'd be checking radiators out and the fan and thermostat as well. The head gasket doesnt usually go on that engine unless its had a heat of some sort. Good advice about the valves, they dont do well over powered or over reved either.

I've been reading the machinery for a long time and one of the things that has surprised me the most is the large number of times and the assumption that you have John Deere tractors fail the head gasket. I live in an area where most of the tractors, by far, are of that brand, there are tractors of many models and with many thousands of hours and that breakdown is almost not heard. Here the biggest tare that is put to the JD is that they spend excessive diesel.
Most traders of used tractors trade with JD because they know that it is the most required.
