The PTO switch will turn on and off if it's in 540 but won't turn on or off in 1000 speed, anyone had similar, is it just electrical problem on the switch?

Presumably you mean it won't just turn on in 1000 speed? Can't turn it off if it's not on to start with!;)
Are you sure 1000 is actually being selected with the shift lever and it's not just sitting in neutral?

As above check its actually engaging on the level, the cable stretches and doesnt always select properly. You might need someone with a small bar to to help it engage the pto end of the cable while you pull the lever

Definitely engages, I can start it in 540, then move the lever to 1000 with the po still turning it will then run in 1000 speed but I can't turn it off using the button. If I shift it back to 540 the button will work to turn it off.

Do that with our old 16k hours 7840 all the time driving the bedder trailer.
There is a knack though just like changing a crash gearbox on a lorry or old tractor.

To the OP, I cant see how which Pto speed is engaged makes any difference to the switch and engagement, dont think there is any connection between the two.
Speed sensor for pto somewhere not reading when running in 1000?? Do they have a shaft sensor? Cant remember!
Alternator ok??
They do funny things if alternator is on way out.
Id be trying a switch out of another, or bridge the wires at the back of the switch to rule that out.
Is it TS115 or a TSA 115?? I only know about the older ones.

TS, everything is going wrong now, sprayer pump pissing oil out from around the shaft, slip clutch gone on the McConnel topper and Tennant rang to say the gas boiler keeps loosing pressure.
