open to abuse unless theres some sort of clause , for instance rent it to your kids for 6 months then sell it to them and avoid cgt . on the flip side would it apply to aha landlords maybe encourage them to sell ?

It's surprising what they are all promising, without any hope of delivering it.

Where are all these new doctors, dentists, police and teachers going to come from ? Why can the conservatives promise to cut immigration by half each year now, yet have done fudge all about it for the last 14 years !

Have the Tories got their conscription/national service in the manifesto? - that'll get the blue rinse brigade on side.

You just tool my text out of my head 😂

Yep wide open to tax dodge...

With all laws on tax it depends on the detail of how the law is written

labour now not planning to re aply the 55 % on over the limit tax pots on pension
I suspect because they would not be able to write a law that exempts consultant doctors and the high paid labour voting govenment workers who would go down to 3 days a week to reduce the tax

the extra tax they would take would be minimal as the income from the top part of of the pension would be taxed at the higher rate of 40 % or 45% any way
the tax on pensions would deter more people from saving than the tax they gained

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
