Non agarian visitors

It has been s difficult month here in the wilds of Norfolk.We have had our invasion of visitors in Disco,Rangerovers, Bentayas,BMW 's etc etc and Audi,s all 4 x 4. They seem to be unable to get onto a dry grass verge to enable passing on our single track roads.Reversing also seems not to be possible in the visitors shiny black 4 x 4's. Is this a nationwide phenomena,or is it just restricted to us Norfolk rural dwellers ?

Don't see many Bentaygas around these parts, a 5yo Skoda Yeti is viewed as posh round here, but I always seem to be the one that reverses.

The ones who can only just afford the monthly payments on their chav mobile so have to pull immediately into the middle of the road at the sight of an approaching vehicle ? As going near the hedge might risk a scratch or two that the finance company who own said vehicle will have them over a barrel via when the chav mobile is returned?

I have in the past stopped, put the handbrake on, turned the engine off, put my feet on the dash and opened a kitkat out of my bait box.

When I had my old banger car I too would pull into the middle of the road when they pulled into the middle of the road and a game of old banger v shiny financemobile chicken broke out. They always backed down

It's even better when they are towing a large caravan up very narrow lanes with no verges and have got completely lost.

I've noticed something new. I call it the blinged up van.
It's not a work van.
What few windows there are seem to be heavily tinted.
Kind of like the A Team van, but no where near as cool.
I don't get it.
But then, I'm old.

It's even better when they are towing a large caravan up very narrow lanes with no verges and have got completely lost.

We have some rented ground near a caravan park. There is a dead end narrow track that the sat nav likes to take them up Ignoring the signs it takes them hours and hours to reverse out

It must be a national phenomenon, or maybe all these hire/lease/on the knock cars don't have reverse fitted.

Either that or they all learnt to drive in those early Reliant Robins that didn't have one

And using your indicators at flipping roundabouts

Visitors are the only ones that use indicators around here, if you're following a local you're expected to know what day of the week it is approaching a junction so will know which way they will turn. On Mondays they will be going to the ag. merchants, Wednesday, going to mart, Fridays, store sales and Saturday to do their shopping. Simple really.

Last time I pulled a wheel onto a verge to let someone past it collapsed. There had been heavy rain the night before, the pickup ended up getting a new headlight wing and bumper it only slide 3foot into an ill placed sticky out branch
