That is totally different though.
These scum just do desperate things for money!

Yes. But my point is a scheme like this could easily blow up in one's face.

It's all good threatening to go to police etc, but most people have an internal line that should not be crossed.

Hypothetically speaking, should someone threaten to inform the authorities of some illegal activity one has been involved in, then it's possible to see how one could be persuaded to hand over money.

Should that same person make physical threats to one's children, then it's possible to see how that person could be on the receiving end of any and all action necessary to remove that threat.

I can understand Poeple get scared by some of these pikie low life's but there NO way I would pay em a penny. Soon as they get first payment they won't stop till your broke & ready to hand yourself. Some poeple scare easier than others & from the odd dealings I've had with pikies they are pretty good at sussing out who they are, even so personally I would tell em where to go scared for my safety or not. I've got nothing worth blackmailing me for but if I had I wouldn't give it them.
The way this world is going if you don't or won't stand up for you or your family's well being then no-one will. The police aren't much help as when they find out it's pikies they don't want to know, they all use the same names, look simmaler etc so police don't have the time or willingness to do the job expected of them as the chances of getting a conviction are slim so why bother.
Personally as others have said best thing would be to give them somethink to think about ( like a bit of 4"x2" round the head. These types only understand rough justice. They don't get brought up like normal poeple, they grow up being tought the only way to deal with things is using there fists. They don't have the brains or want to live within society like normal. Then they have the front to moan about being looked down on for being "travelers "
DONT let them bully you it will only make things worse as they will take your weekness as a meal ticket for them to take whatever they want.
In case you haven't noticed I have no time for the scum bags. They should ALL be given some home rough justice as violence is all they understand. The bloke in question sounds like he was scared stiff but even so he should still stood his ground. I would NEVER roll over for these scum.
Sorry if I sound harsh.

But what if they started burning sheds of yours or you car, breaking windows in your house etc etc I'm not easily scared and I'd definitely go another route than giving them money but it's easier said than done

Point taken I've not personally had this problem but I'd like to think I would stand my ground. Not saying I'm the big man but I'd not be giving them my hard earned.

Having confronted several of them, several times, and having friends who have really gone for them, I can assure you that most of them are just bullies. And like most bullies, they turn tail and run away if they think they're going to get hurt.
Yes they'll scream obscenities at you, and threaten to come back with all their brothers and cousins and do all sorts to you, but in my experience, they don't.

That's what insurance is for. Now that I've mellowed with age, I tend to be quite Buddhist about material possessions.

I guarantee the police will be as much help as a chocolate fireguard.

'When the seconds count, the police are ony minutes away'

Everyman will have his own line. For me, mine is my family.

If I was going to pick a class of people to try to bully/extort, I wouldn't pick ones with easy access to firearms, explosives, digging machinery and acres of land/pigs!

I often wonder the consequences of taking things into your own hands.

Load of them turn up, waving sticks, set fire to things etc. Threaten you, kids screaming, dogs barking.

.22 with a 30 round mag, drop them all, load into Jcb bucket, off to the woods digger has them 6 foot under in a few hours.

Who would know? Who would care?

As long as you didn't tell anyone, only you would know. Tell anyone else and sooner or later the information will leak out.

'3 men can keep a secret, if 2 of them are dead'.

Their families would care I'd guess. And remember, 'for every action, there is a reaction. And a pikey reaction, is something else.'

As need said most are just thieving bullies. Yes there own poeple may miss them if they "went missing" but know-one else would that's for sure.
We are supposed to be able to use reasonable force in such things but as poeple find out the hard way who dictates what that is? I think a long length of 4"x2" round the head is very reasonable given they are threatening you & those close to you but would a judge & jury ? Unlikely I think.
What happened with Tony Martin is a bit difference (I agree with what he did) but from a legal view he was wrong. The main reasons being 1 he had his gun licence revoked for threatening to kill the next pikie that came on his land 2he sat waiting for them with an illegal gun he had no legal reason to have & 3 he shot them in the back as they tried to run away so yes I would say that is murder " but" he still did the right thing. At least a few will think twice about screwing a farmer etc again.
In this case I'm sure if the bloke had hit the main guy with a bit of woodor similar the others would of left without doing a thing. Little men with big mouths & as said nothing more than bullies. Pikies are always moaning how they are victimised etc but they bring it on them selfs. Where ever they park up they leave heaps of rubbish, thieve anything they can get there hands on, & they were brought up to do that. It's what they do so the only thing they understand is violence as it's the way they've been dragged up by those around them. They are different to normal poeple who were shown right from wrong. Harsh as I may sound they will never live life in the same way your average person would as they don't have the same morals we do. If your not a thieving pikie to them your fair game. End of
