Well, after the much promised thunder plumps, it's seems rain of any sort has missed us today. Not even close. Not so much as a rumble. Just awful humidity. It didn't manage any more than a light mizzle yesterday morning either. Damped the tarmac, but not the concrete. So it's down to tomorrow whether we see any. Then dry for another week. Oh well. At least we will be able to spend the week draining in good conditions.

You should have been here thunder, lightning, hail, heavy rain, the full works for over half an hour! It'll do the world of good

We had heavy burst on Thursday morning and a fairly steady spell for an hour yesterday evening. That would do us now for a while, fert on 2nd cut earlier in the week so it should be washed in.

We just had one good burst for about 5 minutes, enough to keep grass motoring. Neighbour 1 mile from us caught another one later and had water racing down the yard. Some places must have had it bad enough.
