Northern Ireland: Post-Brexit Milk Price Expectations?

Hello!

Between brexit and covid, it seems we're in times of significant uncertainty!

I'd love to hear some thoughts on what the short and long term expectations for milk price are for Northern Ireland? Obviously depends on whether we have a hard Brexit or not, but I'm curious what those who have been through economic shifts like this before think the impact will really be.

I'm all ears!

Thanks

Sure does anyone know what way it’ll go milk buyer was in the other day and sounded fairly optimistic about product and price but sure he’s going to say that anyway

Short term price stable, medium/ long term prospects are good, they've got to make sure we re-invest in more efficient production methods that will give us a good return in years to come. The hamster wheel won't turn itself you know.

Interesting. I've read reports that some supermarkets are stockpiling cheese in case tariffs get brought in - potentially hearsay but if true, could that create a temporary glut on the market?

Also, the following statements from Dale Farm CEO seem concerning - any thoughts?

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
