I appear not to be getting alerts when I have been tagged in posts, but I still get alerts when somebody else posts in a thread I've posted in,if that makes sense.I haven't changed any settings ,and am still using the same tablet and browser.

Same problem as @Partstech . You don't know you've been tagged in a post unless you happen to 'trip' over it when you're reading the thread later.
Doesn't look like anyone knows why does it, @Partstech? - oh, you probably haven't seen this 'cos you don't get alerts when you're tagged:LOL::LOL::ROFLMAO:

@Philip Watkins, I got an alert to say you 'replied to the post' but not one to say you 'mentioned me in a post'.
I didn't get @Partstech's post as I expect he typed in my user name without clicking on it when he started typing IYSWIM.
I think I see the problem. You're getting alerts for posts in threads you have contributed (subscribed) to, so the system doesn't bother to give the alert for the tag (or quote?).
@Sleepy would this be a reasonable explanation?

Yeah, once again, you appear to have got to the crux of the problem.
Last night @Northeastfarmer asked me a question in Beef/Lamb & Pig price tracker (a thread I use quite a lot) but I didn't know about it until much later, when I looked in there due to a different alert.

No, not me, honest:confused::eek:.
I barely know how to switch this thing on:rolleyes:

Anyway, no need to panic @Philip Watkins and @Sleepy are on the case.....
