TFF forum is free for which I am grateful so don’t think I’m having a go!!

There’s been a few requests for help regarding the forum in this section and there’s been little to no response from TFF. Perhaps we’re aiming for more of a self help situation?

Forums going well btw (just slow photo uploads I’m curious about).

We only see them if we are tagged.

Our servers rarely run at capacity, normally about 30%. So while you might get it every now and again, it shouldn't be slow all the time. Are you loading photos from your phone? As the system does upload and compress them at the same time.

The main issue is as browsers update, we are losing functionality of the forum. That's why we are working towards updating the system to version 2.1. There has been a lot of issues to untangle though.

Thanks Chris. Yes, uploading from my phone (iphone8s, 1.6Mbps upload on WiFi, 2MB per photo approx). The file size shouldn’t take anytime at all really to process and upload or vice versa, 20-30mins for four photos the other evening.

Its taking seconds from my phone. Are you doing more than one photo at once - as I thought that feature had been disabled.

5mins 50 Secs from selecting the photo to it giving me the thumbnail or full-size option. Didn’t let the phone sleep and no other data heavy uploads ongoing around the house.
It’s getting late so tackle it in working hours, it’s no biggie.

I think you said you are running the safari app on an iphone. We have tested it here with Iphones 6, 8 and 10 and can't replicate any issues. Always around 5 seconds to upload a picture.

You aren't using the app are you - as we have less control over that.
