NRoSO Points

Morning,

I have recently taken on a lad as Quadtrac operator and relief spray operator. He is registered with NRoSO however his membership is due for renewal in November. He has collected very few points in the last 3 years as he has not been spraying in his previous job. I need to get him on some courses sharpish to collect a lot of points before November. Does anyone know of any courses or ways to achieve points in Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk or Cambridgeshire in the near future?

Not sure if it's still the case, but doing an additional PA module got me 16 points.

I did PA9 training and assessment which was 12 points for training and 4 for the assessment.

The big plus is PA training is run year round unlike the Nroso annual training courses.

Is it the lad I had on the Pa4 course? if so he can get 8 points for passing the assessment for that one.

The fwi acadamy has been taken down so that’s no longer an option but as above the eioperator site is.

Has he got as Pa6 or would he benefit from one as there would be another 8 points there?

It would be him I guess.

Have a word with the ETA as I’m not sure what courses are running in the next few weeks where he may be able to get points, it’s a bit of a quiet spell course wise during September and October normally.

Think I am right in saying that if he doesn't accrue the 30 points by Nov then his NRoSO membership is merely suspended until he collects the points. Obviously no spraying once he is suspended - cos farm assurance blah blah blah.

Point beginning, you don't need to spend a fortune on courses in the mean time. A walk with agron, standing next to sprayer tester, here, 10 points for attending NRoSO course in new year.
He'll be raring to go in the spring

If you don’t make your points you are kicked out for a year I think.

I was wrong
Failure to achieve the points will result in a 45 day suspension. Failure after that will mean being kicked out and cannot rejoin for 12 months

I’ve been kicked off twice as there used to be no training courses down here and travelling 150mile for 2-3 points wasn’t financially viable.
I’m pretty sure your given 2-3 months to try and attain the points. Funnily enough I had enough this time so was able to renew but havnt sprayed this year :/
