AHDB are another source of points if you get 'Arable Focus' and their agronomy publications. Worth 2 points each. Go to AHDB site enter CPD in the search box and click on link . Takes you to AHDB points from cereals and oilseeds page where there is a section 'Current(20/21) claim forms', donwload and print pages to sign and return.
Just done mine, now wait to see if they come!

AHDB points from their webinars from December are just starting to show up in my statement. Hopefully the ones from the last few weeks will show up by May, so I can carry my full 10 points into the next three year block.

Anybody know why some things are listed on your statements with stars by them. It says the points are not included in the totals for some reason? I've got 6 that are currently listed but not being counted?

Isn’t it to do with the fact you can only get som many points in certain categories. Ie you cannot have loads of magazine subscriptions or do 50 meetings with your agronomist etc.

had several contacts both emails and letters since around xmas up till last week getting points claimed added/sorted and the asterisk malarky came up , as over the 3 years had 3sets of 2 asterisked not allowed as apparently you are not allowed to claim for newsletters /subs from different places even if totally different subjects . I said to the pleasant chap on the phone it was pretty pointless me reading the bumph that comes through from such august organizations as ahdb, potash etc if ive already claimed for info sourced from elswhere, didnt have an answer . whats more asked if there was going to be any tollerance for covid pandemic year closing point sourcing and he said not. I am finding this annual teaching granny to suck eggs box ticking paper chase enviroment we are living in a waste of time

Just checked my total, 48, so that puts me over the line with at least 6 months to go.
Looking through the list, checking to see if all the events I attended were accounted for, they were all there apart from the forum points, which were missing, it struck me how random the points for each course appear to be awarded.

For example, I got 3 points for standing in a neighbors field talking about cover crops, but only 1 for traveling all the way to Bismarck, North Dakota, but I guess the 2 night unscheduled stop over in Manhattan and the drink or three we consumed in the Taven on the Green and other bars might account for the loss of points on that one 🍻🍷🍺🍻🍾.

A guy here has had 36 points added to his account and he doesn’t know why. They’ve been there since October so he’s keeping quiet about it as he hasn’t done anything to gain them.

Sorry not read the whole thread but notice my noroso membership expires in July 2021 from sometime in 2003 ie 18 years ( odd)??
Anyhow , what do I need to do to renew or will I get notified ?
Have to admit, not had a statement from them for years but as I usually go on the yearly course and get the 10 points , I know I m covered plus if I go to Cereals or Lamma , normally go on stand for a few points.
Getting red tractor now needing proof of my membership from customers who I spray for . Had 5 in the last couple months ,never needed before. Luckily, I found my membership card and have it as a photo in the phone so can respond immediately when I get the call !!

Instead of messing about with 2 points here, and two there, and all administration cost involved, how about NROSO take a different approach.

Same fee, but they do annual video training.

Stop messing about with lots of training conpanies, who've got to charge £30 to make figures stack up.

NROSO do it for 18,000+ operators. Could be done for £2/head/annum.

That's £6 for 3 years of total NROSO fee.
