Nutrient lock up 2!

Strangely I have this effect on some of my Spring Barley? It is only in areas that were cultivated in an otherwise DD field. Where I had fed silage bales in a field of forage rape, the ground needed aerating as some of the bales had not been completely eaten, leaving small piles of acidic silage with anaerobic soil underneath. I ran sumo quarto through and then a vibroflex to aerate and it is in this zone that the problem shows up. Any ideas?

Yes I think it was. It was DD at an angle so a small section of each run was over the cultivated area so didn't adjust the drill for the short distance but the surface was obviously quite different. That said it hasn't shown itself over all the cultivated area?

The little plants are just stressed out from trying to get above the surface and I would think nothing more at this stage.

Some of the plants look like typical rugby sock effect from sowing a bit deep. These will gradually green up. One or two though look a bit more severe but I would guess now they are up they should recover.
