We have debated planet on here many times and the conclusion is always the same.

I use a simple spreadsheet; Total numbers of stock on the farm each month, whether they are indoors or outdoors (I have indoor pigs and they never go out, the cattle are out when the weather is nice, the sheep are mostly out.

Use the data from the booklets to work out how much nitrogen and manure is produced each month by each class of animal and whether it is at pasture or whether the muck goes on the heap.

Work out how much you spread on each field and adjust the artificial fertilizers according to expected crop yield.

Bit of a fag to set up but it can then be cut and pasted and adjusted for subsequent years.

I used to pull out my last few hairs tying to use planet, then I lost some fields and then I gained some fields and Panet couldn't manage that at all, so I gave up.
