anyone have information on Chinas demand for NZ lamb? It seems the amount they are importing is dropping due to the Corona virus, its possible they will not take delivery of expected numbers in the near future, possible risk to our fat lamb trade?

quite a bit of discussion about it on tracker thread about a week ago , could be more going into EU which might hit our exports , we will know in about a month (boat transport time ) , no doubt there will be a good load around easter anyway

The problems they are having with food imports is getting it distributed around the country because of cities on lockdown meaning trucks can’t get around and migrant workers which went home for Chinese New Year not getting back to work. NZ are being worst hit for their mutton kill where China takes a big chunk.
As has been said they still need to eat so only so long local supplies can keep them going.

AirDrop it in like a humanitarian job? At least it’s been delivered, also means no contact so can’t catch anything
