Off grid log cabin

We have an old brick quarry on a quiet corner of the farm which has now filled with water and we now have about 2.5 acres of open water which looks quite pleasant. I was thinking it would be a good place to put an off grid log cabin which we could use as a summer house and also let out as a bit of extra income. Anyone know of a smart log cabin manufacturer? I don’t want a tacky thing that looks like a garden shed on steroids, something smart and maybe a bit different. Any recommendations and rough costs per sq metre or bedroom space would be great.
TIA

What have you in mind for services? Was thinking about something similar. Thought of solar/ battery electric, septic tank but wondered about water as it's far too far to pipe it.

I am thinking solar and battery but haven’t investigated yet. Probably composting toilet would be a good low cost option. I can get mains to it, it’s omly about 500 metres away.

A friend tried to get a few log cabin type things around his pond. He was refused on the grounds that tourist accommodation should be in the towns not the countryside.
We are currently trying to get accomodation around a fishing lake complex, it is taking quite some work but we are getting there slowly so if your friend is still interested then please get them to get in touch.

We are currently going through planning for 2 log cabins .
We have found the planning dept fairly decent. What did amaze us was we wanted to put them on the side of the farm lane thinking they would favour the easy access and they wouldn't want them stuck out in a field . The landscape officer suggested different site which is a far nicer setting and where we would really have liked them but thought there would be no chance.
Still a long way to go yet and still not chosen who to go with for our cabins so like the OP I could do with any recommendations that others have used .

@Hfd Cattle Dan built a log cabin for a friend of mine near Henley. Hand built using logs from her partners farm. Looked fantastic when it was done. He's a good and knowlegable fellow and worth chatting to. I always made for his stand at the APF show to find out what he'd been doing.
