Offset or in line topper?

Which is best, neighbours got a cyclone in line, other got a ofset like a turdo mower, lm needing to get a different heavier one as my wee teagle is done. Any suggestions??

Having had several types, both mounted, trailed and now a cyclone I rate them as miserable excuses for mowing weeds or rushes. Depending on your farm a disc mower may be a better alternative! Certainly if u tramp what has to be mowed you have already lost the battle and that’s the case with my 3m cyclone.

if its a good field with rushes I go at it with the mower. if its rough grazing I reverse with the rhino. tried various side mounted and not liked rushes

This is our Abbey topper in some heavy duty rushes before the field was drained. It has been a great machine for us. In sticky going it is easier to get stuck compared with an in line machine. Ours gets through lots of shear bolts if we push it too hard cutting rushes close to the ground. It’s redundant now if anyone wants it.
