Oil barrel pumps

Any good recommendations for oil pumps ? Or alternative ways of dispensing? Have one good pump which we’ve had for years but no name on it, only a picture of a grease nipple. The other type we have all leak out somewhere no matter what we’ve tried with them.

Local jd dealers where giving them away with every barrel of oil purchased not that long ago, I got two as I needed oil at the time. Seem to be a pretty good pump and dispense quite quick.
I have a feeling they’ll probably be available from vapormatic or kramp.

We have oil pumps up here, told boss man to get a tap for the bung hole, I’ll make a stand and let gravity do the work.

I did make a gadget at home for lifting waste oil out of a barrel.
Length of pipe with a threaded end to fit the large bung hole, drill a small hole in the side of it. Weld a flat plate to the top with a hole in it to fit a long piece of pipe which goes down to near the bottom of the drum (I wanted to leave shite and water at the bottom)
Pipe had a bend in it to form a spout, but the oil would run back into the drum with no pressure.
Put the nozzle in the wee hole and give it some air... but not a lot... and the oil is forced out.

I don’t think it’s the best idea due to the risk of the barrel going pop.

Have one that looks similar to that, it was fine at pumping the top half of the barrel until it got down to where the join was in the stem , I had to use insulation tape around the telescopic extension bit on it as it was leaking air in there.

My slightly less tidy setup.
Blue file on top contains printouts from their website for every machine giving lubricant requirements and quantities.
These 3 tanks will cover probably 80/90% of our requirements, although increasingly newer engines need a synthetic oil so we will probably need another tank.

Witham prefer to supply you with free tanks than leaving barrels which then require a professional clean.

How do you get these tanks filled?

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
