We have an old Coventry climax forklift (4ton lift when new) the engine is a ford, dad was told years ago it was same as a Ford major. If it help identify it, to help it start when cold you pull the throttle linkage back and press a button in. Been offered £1250 for it as scrap if we cut it up. But would rather see it used even if someone just wants to buy the engine out of it. Anyone worth contacting who salvages this sort of thing.
