Old Hardi sprayer...

Just fitted a new simple manual controller to our little old 8m hardi sprayer, a tecomec vgm4, wit 3 new on off section controllers. All same size pipes/fittings etc as before, but since fitting the new unit the tractor is having to run at 1700rpm to get 2bar of pressure wit controller screwed all the way in, on the old unit this was easily achieved at 1300rpm, with plebty adjustment left. I can't figure out why this has happened tho!?, or am I missing something obvious?!!

Check filters. You wont get pressure if choked

I don’t really know what I’m talking about but I’d suspect that the unit you’ve got is much higher flow than the old one.

Hardi's can be a bit oddball in their setup. I'd guess the new pressure regulator isn't compatible somehow. @SimpersTradeCounter is the man to tell you properly

Thanks for replies, yea was wondering if it might have a higher flow rate alright, only a small double piston pump running it too
