Yes, but as above, germ test it first. Expect lower vigour too. Lots of people did this with seed not sown in autumn 2012 & had some good crops. The 2012 seed was very small and pinched, yet grew ok.

i had seed from last year treated with Latitude , did a germ test on it and it had fallen to 60%, so sowed it at near twice the rate as i normally would, had also some seed that was 2 years old but it germ rate was in below 10% so i'll have to dump it

If it's been kept up off the floor it's normally OK.
Big bags sat on the floor seems to be bad for seed over time.
Not sure if it takes moisture up or what happens.
I always sit them on pallets if I've seed to keep over.

Yes, a cool, dry, stable environment is the best for keeping seed, heat & moisture are the enemy
Just do a germ test so you know what you've got . . .

Seed dressings can have an effect though, with some being more severe than others.
Personally, I haven't treated any farm saved seed for maybe 15 years or more, so I am a bit out of touch with current dressings.

Unless one is short of cash l would advise using new stuff. Year old seed never seems as vigorous especially if it’s been sat in a chemical coating.

We used to use a lot of zinc seed dressing on the black soils west of Moree. Do you apply any trace elements to your crops?
