Mainly electrical. It was the most unreliable tractor we have ever owned. It went after 1800hrs.

Mate of mine has an 8730, had it a few years now, seems to do well for them. Get good and bad ones from all makes...

The man that has that tractor would never say a wrong word about a MF tractor, but to be far the 87's were a lot better than the 86's were
It looks the part, rather imposing. Will it have the Agcopower 8.4lt or are Agco going to put the 9.8lt, 7 cyl in them?
What will warrant them earning tractor of the year?
Unfortunately MF is now second fiddle to Fendt. Good that they are more competitively priced, but here in Oz the product offering keeps dwindling and Fendt increasing. No MF combines or planters offered in Oz now.

Can still buy an ideal with mf sticker on it. What do you mean by no mf planters?

Know nothing about the row crop planters but the air drills were part of a jv with amity. Fell through when amity got sold to vaderstad.
Agco could do with a seeder option though but the market is saturated so hard to get into.

The sunflower stuff up to 60ft were sold here as mf. Not available since the amity jv dissolved. I’d be surprised if the still supplying new build machines there.

Hi there. new to forum and wondered if you still own your MF6245 as just bought a MF6245 which has been sat unused for 6 years. It was driven to its current place and then left there. It started straight away but won't move back or forward. there is a yellow and black wire running from the battery but looks like the other ends have been pulled off. can not find or see where they should go. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Hi. Removed all fuses and cleaned them up and put back. Did have red triangle and red transmission light on but they now have gone since cleaning fuses. clutch switch seems ok and if i press it , it clicks so i assume it is working although the it won't start on the key so have to jump starter. When I turn key on, all lights come on then most go off quickly put D remains on a bit longer before going out. If I turn key to start tractor just a clicking from electrics at right hand side of dash above brake pedals. Just removed ECU plate under step this weekend and this plate is very rusty and looks like it should have an earth wire connected to it but just a very rusty nut(lump) on plate. any ideas, thanks for earlier reply. cheers John
