One for the Renault gurus

Renault 836. Washed it after its been sitting on a slurry pump outside. Everything fine until later that day the rear lift stopped working. PE on the lift screen. Electric spool joystick on the arm rest also not working. Replaced fuse which was blown and it melted the cover off a wire in the loom and smoke coming from the electrical area at the back of the seat. I know it looks like a short but has anyone had similar and know where water could have gotten in?

If I remember rightly (14 years since I had an 836!) the external hitch control buttons could get moisture/corrosion in them and cause various issues, might be worth checking.

After searching through wiring diagrams, I've found out the wire that's melted comes from the radar . It says in the book and I quote- + APC Radar (D + relayed). Any clues and has any one had a radar do that before?
