the Brexit wet dream is literally dying :)

it's a been a war of attrition and Remain is winning (y)

all it will take to carpet bomb the Leave camp into oblivion is one long extension to Article 50

if that happens just watch them self-combust in an apoplectic rage a la Mark Francois :mad::mad::mad::mad:

and if Monsieur Macron says non then Mrs May will revoke Article 50 entirely

either way, we will prevail :)

Leigh is considered a Brexit heartland. It voted 63.9% Leave as part of the Wigan count (along with Makerfield). Its MP is @JoPlattMP, one of the 25 who signed the anti #PeoplesVote letter, along with the 2 other Wigan MPs, @lisanandy & @Y_FovargueMP.

Today, a pro Brexit rally was held in the town & organisers hoped that a thousand or more would turn up. The turnout was approximately 40 people. A handful! Their Brexit is dying yet they could only get a handful of people out to protest it. In Brexit central!

Winning what exactly, the overturning of a democratic decision? Now what sort of neanderthal would find anything to celebrate in that?

Establishment media and politicians were pretty smug looking the night of the referendum, polls showed they would easily win just like the do now.

They werent so smug looking by 6 the following morning.

Maybe you can reverse this with another referendum, no doubt the smug faces will be back.

Youd think if this EU thingy was so great wed be falling over ourselves to stay in.

Pretty poor if after what? 40 years or what ever you can barely convince us its a good idea.

Ever heard of the vociferous minority?

I clearly remember that remain were confident they had it in the bag the night the polls closed. Even nigel farage thought they had lost.

As for turning up to support it, know someone who travelled 500 miles to london to join the remain march a few weeks ago. Easy for her retired at 55 on big government pension. Id be happy to join any leave march. But i have to work. Flat out 7 days a week right now.

Farage claimed he had lost when he knew the privately funded exit polls showed the opposite - so he could make a killing in the currency markets.

The polls for June varied between +-2% either way, with around a +-5% confidence band being normal for the 1,000 or so sampled. They were no more convincing than the end result. If I wasn’t on my phone I’d dig out the compiled results, but from memory the Wikipedia page shows that it was very close.

If it want for the lambing, I’d be at the remain march - let’s just assume we cancelled each other out.

So Brexit can only make things better for you, assuming you want to work less hours of course. May I ask you what line of work you have?

Is that accusation based on anything more than speculation?

Nigel is a betting man and a currency trader. Do you really think it was a coincidence that he conceded defeat out of the blue and that the Pound soared for a short while as a result? I don’t

Not quite what I meant, so let's try again. Is there any firm evidence that he set out to profit from the result, did his own fortune swell as a result?

I know full well what you meant. Is there any evidence? No, he's a clever man. Much cleverer than you and possibly me. If however I was as much a betting man as he is, I'd certainly put my money on it.
