Vale Energy Ltd having recently been instrumental in the now completed installation of a 1MW Ground Source Heat Pump heating and chilling system at Dry Hill Farm Huddersfield,(See link below), are on the 30th July 2019 holding an open day at the facility, where we will give invited guests a tour of the GSHP system and outline the corporate and social responsibility, operational, financial and the environmental benefits of having a GSHP Heat/Chill system installed.

We will be also outlining our 'Fully Funded' model which enables businesses to enjoy all the benefits and the substantial financial savings on heating and chilling provided by a GSHP Heat/Chill system, without the need for a CAPEX investment.

The Ground Source Heat Pump heat/chill systems we supply are suitable for most dairy farmers and other businesses requiring heating and chilling, and the system is designed to produce chilling as a by product, which translates into substantial savings on chilling costs.

The GSHP heat/chill systems are one of the few remaining renewable technologies which attract the Renewable Heat Incentive Govt tariffs - a 1MW system can generate RHI income of c.£3.1 Million over 20 years, with a ROI of c.3-4 years, as well as annual savings on chilling.

There is always a but,

I'm assuming there is a certain scale needed?

Not really a 'but'...one of the main criterion is the level of heating and chilling requirement. The greater these requirements, the greater the potential savings. Another is the land where the 'loop' is installed - we recently had a dairy farm which met the heating and chilling requirements but part of the land for the 'loop' was not suitable and the part which was suitable, had an archaeological covenant on it. And finally, each install must be fully RHI compliant, in respect of generated heat use.
