I still had live larvae in the stems after -10 degrees in January 2021 with no snow cover. Continental European crops will be subjected to colder temperatures, so my guess is a no.
I thought when i dissected a few stems that several were dead- perhaps it's just wishful thinking!

Take a couple of plants indoors and leave them at room temperature to see if they start moving again.

Is it Cabbage Stem Flea Beetle you have trouble with in Canada @Flatlander ?
Crusiferous and striped flea beetle They will chew leaves off and if the surface is crusted and few plants have emerged they will chew off below the crusted soil. Becoming a real headache in big areas. Around here our rotations are such that canola is only one in four or five years but further west where soybeans maize and sunflowers are not typical they are wheat canola wheat canola. Some even canola snow canola. They have brought it apon them selves

Am I correct in saying that flea beetle in Canada is now becoming resistant to the neonics?

Couldn’t really say with any degree of accuracy, I’ve had no problems but I’ve never really had them too bad. The seed dressing are next to pointless and not worth the money but you can’t get seed without them. I’ll ask my agronomist. He’s been in the trade for twenty years so should know.
