so following on from the other thread, forget your fancy seed rebate schemes that are not worth a penny to us growers in a high CSFB area, here's an idea from the farmers side, after all you all want to source farm assured OSR don't you?

I will supply as the farmer, the land, labour and all operations, and soil indexes of 2+ I will drill the seed in the week you ask me, all pesticides (assuming it's label approved) will be applied during the first weather opportunity following your recommendation or at the stated growth stage, N will be applied within seven days of you raising a recommendation, pigeon control will be carried out to the best of my ability and finally desication and harvest can be timed by yourselves and carried out to a high standard, I will even store the crop and ventilate as needed.

You will supply, the seed, starter fertiliser, all N, herbicides, fungicides, graminicides, slug pellets, trace elements and insecticides.

Come harvest we agree a price at a pre agreed percentage below the days spot price for the month of movement, payment 28 days after loading.

This will sound bonkers to you now the shoe regarding risk is on the other foot, ie yours but it's not much different to contract rearing pigs for bqp for example.

What's not to like.........???
