No its not this at all. The NYT warned at the start, they would not respond as the privacy does not allow the phone to respond to a link to connect via blue tooth unless the phone owner is nor alerted and responds yes to the invitation. This invitation is not transmitted unless the phone is live. I believe Android are the same
Well it was the bbc so should have known their report was rubbish

When he stops fudgeing up then the threads will stop, but if your happy to reward failure and turn a blind eye to the incompetence then gd luck to you, me I expect a bit more from our elected leaders than failure. Each to their own I suppose. Btw feel free to balance up the debate by starting a few threads on his achievements to date....
It wasn’t Boris that fecked up the app though was it? It was most likely consultants paid eleventy billion pounds to produce it. Well done Boris for sacking them before they wasted any more time and money.
What I don’t understand is why we couldn’t have bought the Korean app that is tried and tested and seems to be working well.

I dont usually have much time for Ceredigion Council, but in this case they have done a good job. Early on they set up a track and trace system, talking to contacts to those who were positive and advising isolation. It worked, probably because there were few cases, the isolation of the area, the willingness of the population to comply, and the council staff actually doing the work as they knew the area. The number of those with the virus was 39 for ages, but has been creeping up in the last week or so. Still only 7 deaths for a large area.
Due to people sneaking in for a break here, these figures are bound to rise though. I am constantly baffled by how selfish people are.

From what I heard on the radio the problem is with apple phones not the ap per se they cant detect phones at the distance required
The problem according to the UK health secretary is that Apple would not change their system, fu(k me the arrogance of the man, is it any wonder that this creates a smidgen of anti government sentiment.

My post knocked the french
For balance the NZ government has fu(ked up to. Allowed a couple from the UK to leave isolation early on compassionate grounds, they were to drive from Auckland to Wellington without stopping ( it is around an eight hour drive) they got lost and asked for directions, giving the person who helped them a kiss and a hug.
The couple have now tested positive.
