to go up through the power settings start at coarse 1 fine 1, turn fine up to 2, then 3, right up to 10, then change coarse to 2, and fine back to 1, then to 2, 3, through to 10, then fine back to 1, and coarse to 3, then to move up the power, use fine again up to 10,
think of it like a mountain bike coarse is at the pedal end of chain, fine is at wheel end of chain,
I think he's referring to how the coarse dial counts up "1, 2, 2, 3, 1" rather than the more conventional method most of us learnt at school!
I've only used 1 Oxford and it didn't look like that! I'm quite curious now, does the switch have a position to go with each number?
