currently use oxy propane for heating

is there a torch available to use propane and compressed air instead of the oxygen?
would save having to have oxygen bottle on rent etc

You could get one of these if its just for heating but no idea how long it would take to heat a lump of metal.

I don't know will have to inquire you'd think they would be in Aberdeen

Just looked them up Montrose is their most Northerly Depot.

Why not contact SGS. You could stock them yourself if they have no agent you way?

edit Just looked on their website- Autoparts Inverurie is you nearest.

You could get one of these if its just for heating but no idea how long it would take to heat a lump of metal.

Might just about be acceptable for blowing heat into a firebrick hearth, in the open it would take forever. Had a Calor version once.

is this an open hearth? a closed forge would allow you to modify a plain propane torch and get high temperatures, i have forge welded (1300C) in naturally aspirated propane forge, but it depends what variety of things you need to get heated
