P6e trailers. how many?

I used to have a P6 trailer, which is presumably the same size. That used to hold six 'proper' ewes at a push, or up to 10 Spring lambs to market.

The P6e looks a bit flimsy though. I changed my P6 in last year, for a CLH that's slightly bigger, a hell of a lot cheaper and (I think) better built.

Agree with all of that. I believe the P6 comes in different lengths (6ft and 7ft models?) but I'd say 6 ewes, horned or not or 10 lambs

The CLH is stronger, more flexible in purpose and - crucially - comes with an aluminium chequerplate floor as standard

The P6E will be lighter to man handle - a useful feature as either trailer being so short will be a pig to reverse

My equivalent CLH trailer will carry 10 fat lambs/12 stores and 8 culls. I have, on a couple of occasions , attempted to up those numbers by 1 and regretted it each time.

Same here, have to say my one has done lot of work and owes me nothing so hard to complain. But is maybe little soft, ramp and mesh sides been fixed few times and lights well lights are done for.
Thinking of getting a P8g here for road runs...

yea about 10 factory lambs or 6 ewes, I think its a pr*ck to reverse, when empty I just take it off most of the time and push it back, the lights are also long gone, been meaning to fix them

I've just looked out the invoice for you. 7'6" x 4'6" complete with ramp gates, spare wheel and internal dividing gate, it was £1375 +VAT, once the p/x was taken into account.

They make them with an option to have a hinged roof and gas struts for driving a quad in, but I went for one (cheaper) where I can remove the top of the canopy with 4 bolts if needs be.

Snap exactly same as what i got, think i payed a little less, haggling and family friends etc haha but i too had a p6 before my clh and what a world of difference!!! P6 personally its ideal to put behind a small car but behind a pick-up its no good cant see the wheels and bonces like crazy no matter what speed etc!!

I used to get 8-10 fat lambs in mine, or 6 tidy size ewes!! I can now get 10 lambs comfy in my clh!! Cant praise them enough build quality etc good bunch of people to deal with nothing is to much to ask/modify

The only problem I have with it, is that it sits too low behind a quad so the jockey wheel catches on the ground.:(

Saved a few pennies and didnt bother with a jockey wheel!! But dont you find it a bit big behind the quad? We run a suzuki 500 and you know shes on empty, wouldnt want it full!! But its streaks ahead of the p6!!

No, I have a proper quad.:D

It's just for occasions, when I want to pop across the field with half a dozen sheep or something and it's too wet to take the pick up. Usually I use the smaller/lighter quad trailer, but don't get so many in there.

A lot of the clh trailers are going up country etc stickers and plates pulled off and 're-branded' so to speak, so theres a lot more around than you think haha
