PA 93 hedge cutter help needed

Trying to change spool to closed centre see attached picture , bought conversion kit but not sure which bit goes whereView attachment Scan.pdf

Picture longer union appears to be restrictor ? but holem about 8mm ? other looks like just a plug

I would say the longer one replaces the gallery plug (the one on the end) as it has two rubber seals like the original. The other goes at the front (where the cables enter)

what would go in the end talked to someone and they said just a plug in the end longer one in photo is hollow/straight through

Ah I see, so what your saying is the blanking plug that goes here

is actually a straight threw Union? Does the hole have a thread?

Yes male thread one end female thread the other - we have got a plug to go in the end but did not come in kit

Hmm wrong part possibly, as your scan deffinatly states a blanking plug.

Eh, just a thought, Will the original blanking plug that came out screw back into the female part of the new plug?

Watching with interest as I don't think ours was ever converted to closed centre. Should I do this for use on a jd6920?

I've had ours on our closed centre tractor and it operated it fine, but I had to turn the flow down as it would squeal in operation.

I'm putting it on old JD with no flow control thought about just fit a restrictor but the kit was'nt much money as stores said thats unusual for mcconnel

I'm thinking you've got a pressure carry over plug not a closed center plug as it look different to the one in the diagram.

Sorry being thick what would a pressure carry over plug be ? kit was correct part no.

No idea but the smaller plug is a replacement for the pressure relief valve. Is the longer plug a solid item or has it got a whole up the middle and a BSP thread?

hole through middle male thread maybe 5/8 bsp other end female maybe 1/2" bsp
