Paint on rust treatment for cab

Anyone recommend a pain on rust treatment that can be used on patches of cab rust to help slow the inevitable? Looking to wire brush a few bits treat and then paint to try a slow the inevitable

I have used the above and would recommend it.
Remove as much as you can with a wire brush on an angle grinder or whatever method works for you. Wipe the stuff on with a cloth, it says use a brush but that always seemed a bit much to me.
Etch prime and top coats over it for a proper job.

I use " Milkstone Remover" which apparenly contains phosphoric acid as an all round rust treater from bits of the tractor to steel girders on the barns. It's relatively cheap and readily available from mist agricultural suppliers. Scrape/ brush off the loose rust as with most treatments then brush on. Leave for 24 hours and you get a grey to white appearance as the rust is converted to iron phosphate or whatever. It stays like that for quite some time even if not painted over. Obviously best protection is if you follow up with painting.
