Anyone viewed the Telegraph where up to 65,000 Pakistani nationals have been allowed to enter UK since March some of whom have been taken directly to intensive care upon arrival? 4000 "new" cases reported in Pakistan every day but given their poor reporting could or is likely to be thousands more.

Not heard of it, please supply some links. However, if they have entered legally, that's the law. If not, it's against the law, they should be rounded up and sent back. In either case it does make one wonder...

Can have a read here. Daily Telegraph looks to have slightly taken it to the xenophobe angle - saying 'many' ave gone straight to hospital. According to The Sun most were British passport holders, so entitled to return to UK. Presumably UK national staying there or dual nationals. Another dog whistle job for the xenophobes among us. Hey ho.

Leicester having a spike of R number well over one
The city population is well over 50% Asian and often housing is multigenerational so if they have welcomed back any family from abroad recently...

There was a chap on BBC in early February, perhaps January. looking for help to get his wife out of Wuhan where he had lived for the last ten years. Flew home in early December as he was concerned about the number of his neighbours becoming seriously ill, and he wanted to get home before he was ill as the hospitals were so poor. Now he wanted his wife to join him but she had no visa.
If you live in these countries you should not expect our health service to take care of you.
I have some close relations who lived and worked in France in the black economy, she came home twice to have her children as they were not paying the insurance. That is why a lot of the Expats have returned from Spain etc

It's not necessarily xenophobic to want to be careful about who comes and goes into this country. (y)

or “Britannia rules the waves” :unsure: ....

except;

that’s just plain funny now:ROFLMAO:
I was merely looking for sensible feedback from my initial post. How do we have any control over this pandemic when this sort of thing is going on? Self isolation/quarantine is apparently a joke with people entering the country.
I have a Polish employee who intends travelling to Poland on 1st July returning 19th July. He is adamant he will be back to work on 20th July (no chance) Family of 4 in minibus with others for 4 hours to airport then 2 flights each way and back in minibus to home. No quarantine in his head so what chance do we have of beating this virus

Surprised if the Poles let him in if they won't allow direct flights from the UK. :scratchhead:
