Pallet fork extensions

I’ve got 6ft pallet fork extensions but need just over 8ft to remove a stock container off a trailer.
Thinking it would be cheaper with 9ft rectangular box section slid over pallet forks but what thickness of steel would be needed not to bend on the end point of pallet fork? I’m guessing container is about 1.5 ton..

Built before my time but I'd be confident ours are home made, 10 foot long, 6x3 box I think and look roughly 5-6mm thick, not measured to be honest but that won't be far off, I've lifted some fair old weights with them over the year's and they don't bend

There does come a point where the fork extensions won't bend but the next weakest point along the line does.
Just be aware.
