Panel cleaning cost

for closure, I had 3 quotes to clean 109 kw on 6 roofs at 2 locations close by:

£1930, incl cherry picker
£1026 incl cherry pikcer, but us on JCB for one day as well
£1140 in cherry picker

works out at around £10.45 / kw.

one of my customers has a 50kw system on his cubicle house, we were installing an extra 10kw for him on to a new inverter because one of the original ones had died, because he has a farm track that runs along side the shed the panels get very dusty, after we had got the new string fitted and up and running on the new inverter we were able to compare the output of the existing strings against the new string. the existing strings was down about 50% due to the covering of dust, the new inverter had multiple trackers so it was easy to go in to data and see exactly what each string was doing.

I put water onto our panels, only 10kw but with a brush thing that attaches to a hose it only takes 1/2 hour to do so 5 x1/2 hour plus set up and moving time say 4 hours total. If the cleaner charges £25 hr that's £100 twice a year. Did he say he was looking at £18k worth of kit to do it? Ground mount BTW.

Quoted £1 a panel by the local window cleaner. Just got to put him on the roof with our cage.

Been 7 years without cleaning so be interesting to see what a difference it makes.
