First thing I'd do is change the 10 year old antenna

My (admittedly near 20yo) outback s-lite couldn't get a fix a couple of years ago. New antenna worked a treat, and the accuracy abs stability improvement had to be seen to be believed

This is what I bought

I have the same model and it got progressively worse to pick up signal until it stopped altogether. the guy I bought it from is very good. First he told me to make sure power plug was a good tight fit and to ever so slightly spread the pins as a good connection is vital. this worked for a couple of days but stopped working again. Everytime I brought it to him it tested perfect. He said to try different tractor and it was perfect. The tractor it was on read 13.8 volts all the time as did the tractor we tried it on. Cleaned all the battery connections and earth strap from cab to chassis and its worked perfectly since. He said voltage needs to be perfect to pick up a signal.
