anybody using this and what are your thoughts please
Ive just bought one myself a few weeks ago. Having major issues with it. Currently waiting to here back from patchwork about it. Bought one for mapping fields and setting an internal boundary. Its simple to use and set up from the bit ive tried using it.
What you planning on using yours for?

Yes just bought one for fert on grassland.

There are some things that need to be sorted. First up, make sure you are running the latest software - should be version 3.0 and you can see this on start up. If not, you need to do the following:

1) Shutdown - press YES
2) Device Setting - WiFi "on"
3) Connect WiFi
4) Update

That sorts that bit
Then when you've done your boundary and are marking AB lines, ensure that you slow down but don't stop when pressing B otherwise the GPS gets confused and the lines are all over the place.
Other than that, it is a nice simple bit of kit and being a tablet, you can put other stuff on it for lunchtime ;)

I wont say to much at the moment as im hoping the team at patchwork will sort it out but seems to be an accrancy problem and im waiting to hear back.
@Bald Rick How are you getting on with setting up implement widths and offsets? I find it very hard work when you need to use a negative number when a much simpler left or right would have done and been easier and i dont get an option of which way around the field to drive when mapping a boundary

TBH it is a doddle to set working/bout widths and offset. We spread at 24m so merely type in offset 12m in to the boundary bit of the setup and 24m in to the working width.
As I say, i cocked up by stopping at the end of the AB run to press the B which caused the GPS to think it was starting another A run but I spoke to Angus (? Scottish anyway) at Patchwork & he put me straight.
For what we do it is fine and a lot cheaper than many of their competitors who offer, to my mind, very similar products

I was wanting to be clever with it and when mapping the boundary colour in as i went wanting a 14m headland so when doing the inside of the field ive got a green headland to work to aswell as using the headland countdown timer but im struggling with working widths and offsets to try this to get it right.

Old thread but might be looking to replace a failed blackbox with white reciever.

How did you all get on with your issues? Resolved or just putting up with them........ or is it sitting in a cupboard and you want to sell it?!!
