Went to get my son a phone yesterday and wanted a pay as you go phone, but was told that after a month the money not used is lost !!
Now both my parents and my wife are on pay as you go and it as never happened to them before and they are low users.
Smell a rat or is this the case now,or have I fallen for the sales patter?
Anyway signed up on contract now but it's bugging me,I have 14 days cooling off so could still take phone back.
Now that would pee my lad off.

Wife used to be on pay as you go and never used to lose credit not used. She got given x amount of free credit if she topped up over a certain amount per month. Never heard of losing unused credit before.

Just moved mum and dad anto Sainsburys and Tesco Lite contracts respectively. They work out 8p per minutes for calls and 4p for messages. All money rolls over but on the normal Tesco £10 credit would get you £20 free the £20 would not roll over.

I hate phones. Period. But got a PAYG when doing regular 180 mile trips over the hill (A9) with occasional white outs in winter. When ever I tried to use the phone (which wasn't often!), the credit had disappeared. That was with Vodaphone.

But after the drubbing they got from me (OAP only needing a phone in emergencies) they did say they would be looking at that policy again.

Don't do that run any more and the phone has died. Yippee!!!
